After taking the Basic CPTED class live taught by Art, I was looking forward to taking the Advanced class. Due to the pandemic, the organization that I work for will not allow any outside training. I was pleased that NICP offered an online Advanced course so that I could still get the training. I initially thought I would be missing out on the live experience of the class but the format in which this online course was laid out, was pretty impressive. It was challenging and interactive. Communication was great. I highly recommend this online course to others that cannot attend a live class at the moment.

The Advanced CPTED Course addresses the contemporary concerns of terrorism amongst many other aspects of CPTED and security that so many professionals deal with regularly. A practical instruction course that will open your eyes to the need for CPTED in the tool box of all security personnel.

Fantastic how art is so key to crime prevention. This course will help me and my colleagues better serve the communities in which we work, designing schools and other public facilities.

Having completed the Basic, and now the Advanced, CPTED courses I would highly recommend these courses and certification. Both courses were well designed and provided an excellent learning experience! This certification is a great achievement for any professional seeking to implement a quality crime prevention program through environmental design.

Such a well thought out and designed online program. The modules were easy to follow and understand, and being able to jump back to previous modules made it simple to follow up on questions that arose. The program helps push an understanding of the material rather than rote memorization of facts. With videos of real world applications of CPTED, it creates a better understanding on how to encompass all aspects into designing and assessments. I look forward to putting these skills to use for my employer and our clients!

Art and his team have delivered another fantastic course on CPTED! The learning objectives were clear, and the material presented was relevant and useful and well-designed. I highly recommend the CPTED training provided by NICP, and I will continue to use them for future training.

Like many others, I was looking forward to the in-person advanced CPTED course taught by Art after taking the basic course from him i person previously but the pandemic had other plans. While I don't think in-person learning can ever be fully matched online, I was pleasantly surprised by the online version of the course. It provided a wealth of information in an engaging format. I appreciated the handful of site review exercises to apply course concepts. I think the biggest drawback was missing out on a group assessment in the field where we can bounce ideas off each other and ultimately come up with a stronger set of recommendations. But since that's not possible with an online course in the middle of a pandemic, this is the next best thing and definitely worthwhile. I'll be applying the concepts in my work.

I was looking forward to taking this course in person. Due to the pandemic I had to take it online. The dashboard and online course are professionally done and work smooth. The course is very interesting and flows well. The content is spot on for CPTED. Fantastic Customer Service/Staff - I had to do some work schedule switches that were pre-planned through my department administration. The course restricts moving to some modules until projects are digitally turned in and graded during the staff working hours. I was attempting to get through projects so I could finish the last part of the course on my scheduled day 3 which was a Saturday. My second project was turned in late on Friday. I emailed staff who responded with an email and direct text. They graded the project on a Friday night and I was able to complete the course on my Saturday work tour. Fantastic support.
